SHIPPING & UNVEILING POLICY 

Where masterpieces are not delivered.

They are revealed.

Applicability of This Policy

This Shipping & Unveiling Policy applies to all Redbutan creations without exception — including but not limited to High Jewel masterpieces, Marvel and Aksara editions, Companion pieces, bespoke commissions, one-of-one creations, limited numbered editions, private orders, and any future collections introduced by the House.

Regardless of price, material, category, degree of customisation, or edition status, every Redbutan jewel must be collected in person in Surat through the House’s controlled unveiling protocol.

No product, commission, custom order, upgrade, remake, or special edition is eligible for shipping or courier delivery under any circumstance.

1. The Redbutan Principle: No Shipping. Only Unveiling.

Every Redbutan masterpiece — including but not limited to High Jewel, Marvel, Companion, Aksara, bespoke creation — is crafted to order, individually hallmarked, certified, finished by hand, and assigned a unique provenance identity.

To preserve the integrity, security, and emotional significance of each creation:

Redbutan does not ship or courier masterpiece jewels under any circumstance.

No national shipping.

No international shipping.

No third-party pickup.

No logistics partners.

Your creation is not a package.

It is a moment.

And every moment deserves a stage worthy of it.

2. Mandatory In-Person Unveiling in Surat

All Redbutan jewels must be collected in person in Surat through one of the following controlled handover formats:

A. Private Unveiling Ceremony (Signature Experience)

Hosted at Redbutan’s private venue in Surat, this ceremonial experience includes:

  • A curated reveal of your masterpiece

  • Verification of BIS, HUID, GIA (if applicable) certifications

  • Final inspection and approval

  • Documentation signing in the presence of the Redbutan Concierge

B. Office Handover (By Appointment Only)

A simpler but equally secure handover at the Redbutan corporate office in Surat.

Both formats ensure authentication, controlled conditions, security, and emotional connection—fundamental to the Redbutan ethos.

3. Scheduling the Unveiling

Once your masterpiece completes the final quality cycle, you will receive a Readiness Notification.

Unveiling appointments require:

  • Mandatory KYC completion (PAN required)

  • Verification of payment source and invoice details

  • Confirmation of preferred unveiling format

Appointments are available on weekdays/weekends subject to availability.

4. Identity Verification & Controlled Handover

Primary Collector (Client) Requirements

The client must present:

  • Valid Government ID (PAN Mandatory)

  • ID matching the name on the invoice and RTGS payment

  • Signature on the Provenance Log

Nominee Collection (Strictly Controlled)

If the client cannot attend:

  • A signed authorization letter by the client

  • Copy of client’s PAN

  • Nominee’s Government ID

  • Mandatory verification call between client and Redbutan Concierge

  • Authorization must be submitted  one week in advance

No walk-ins, no ad-hoc nominees, and no handover without prior approval.

5. Transfer of Risk & Ownership (Legal Clause)

Risk and ownership transfer fully to the client the moment the piece is handed over and the Provenance Log is signed in Surat.

After this point:

  • Redbutan bears zero liability for loss, theft, wear, tear, damage, stone displacement, or mishandling.

  • The client is solely responsible for custody, insurance, care, and safekeeping.

This clause is final and binding.

6. Pre-Unveiling Condition Documentation (Legal Protection)

To eliminate any quality disputes:

Redbutan photographs and/or videos the masterpiece immediately before unveiling.

This internal record is considered the final, authoritative condition of the piece.

No claims regarding condition will be accepted after the Provenance Log is signed.

7. Storage Window & Uncollected Pieces Policy

Completed masterpieces must be collected within 30 days of readiness notification.

After 30 days:

  • Secure storage fees may apply

  • Or Redbutan may recycle, repurpose, or melt the piece at its discretion

  • No refunds or credits will be issued

This ensures compliance, security, and continuity of production schedules.

8. Post-Unveiling Requests & Modifications

Once delivered:

  • Any resizing, alteration, modification, or upgrade constitutes new paid work

  • Redbutan is not obligated to rework, modify, or alter the original piece unless explicitly agreed

No free adjustments or post-delivery revisions are included.

9. Third-Party Appraisal Disclaimer

Valuations or opinions from external jewellers, appraisers, or traders have no bearing on Redbutan’s pricing, craftsmanship, or policies.

Redbutan does not recognize:

  • Third-party value estimates

  • Comparative price complaints

  • Subjective assessments of worth

The value of a Redbutan masterpiece is determined solely by the House.

10. Client Travel Responsibility

All travel arrangements to Surat — domestic or international — are the sole responsibility of the client.

Redbutan does not offer:

  • Refunds for travel delays

  • Rescheduling due to missed flights, personal emergencies, or visa issues

  • Cancellations over travel inconvenience

The unveiling appointment is a scheduled experience, not a delivery window.

11. International Collectors

For clients flying in:

  • Share your itinerary in advance for scheduling assistance

  • Redbutan will align the unveiling date with your stay whenever possible

  • Any customs declaration, import duty, or cross-border compliance is the client’s responsibility

Redbutan’s responsibility ends upon handover in Surat.

12. Lead Times

  • Aksara / Marvel / Companion: 6–8 weeks

  • High Jewel / Limited Editions: 8–14 weeks

Timelines may vary depending on complexity, material availability, and certification process.

You will receive updates at key production milestones.

13. No Shipping. No Delivery. No Exceptions.

Redbutan does not:

  • Ship within India or internationally

  • Deliver to hotels, homes, offices, or third-party locations

  • Hand over pieces to drivers, assistants, or logistics agents

All creations must be unveiled exclusively in Surat.

This uncompromising rule protects your masterpiece, your identity, and Redbutan’s integrity.

In Essence

A Redbutan jewel is not shipped.

It is unveiled.

In Surat.

In ceremony.

In truth and in presence.

Your masterpiece is not an order.

It is an occasion.

Customers who have placed orders prior to any amendments will be governed by the Policy in effect on the date of purchase.
