Redbutan commissions are acquired through Request Consideration. If accepted, the Keeper of Commissions confirms scope, timeline, provenance applicability, and payment instructions. Production begins only after payment confirmation.
A defined Redbutan work already showcased on the website. If accepted, you commission the piece under its stated edition rules (if applicable).
A new work created around your personal brief. Scope, materials, and timeline are confirmed after Request Consideration.
Submit your request with the piece (or brief), intended timeline, and context. Redbutan uses this to assess fit and commissioning feasibility.
Redbutan may accept, request clarification, or decline. Not every request is a fit for the maison.
If accepted, the Keeper of Commissions confirms: scope (Masterpiece vs bespoke), edition cap/numbering where applicable, timeline estimate, provenance applicability, and Surat Unveiling scheduling approach.
Payment is 100% advance via bank transfer (RTGS). Production begins after payment confirmation.
The work is executed under Redbutan’s internal process and inspected for finish, setting integrity, and overall readiness for transfer.
After completion readiness, your Surat-only atelier-to-collector handover is scheduled by private appointment. You inspect the work, the House dossier is issued, and custody transfers after acceptance.
Website Masterpieces (not bespoke): typically 8 to 20 weeks after payment confirmation, depending on complexity and commissioning queue.
Bespoke commissions: timeline is confirmed after scope and material decisions are finalized.

No. Once crafting begins, the commission is irrevocable and non-cancellable under all circumstances.
Collector verification may be required prior to acceptance and at handover to protect custody and provenance integrity.
If a work is issued under a Privé Edition cap (e.g., 12 only, 20 only), commissions close permanently once the cap is filled.
