Caring for Your Masterpiece

Caring for Your Masterpiece

Gold and diamond masterpieces deserve rituals, not routines. Begin with breath-light handling: hold by metal edges, avoid touching facets. After each wear, wipe with a lint-free microfiber cloth to remove oils and urban dust. Store individually in soft pouches or lined trays; separate pieces so harder stones cannot abrade softer alloys or finishes.

For cleansing, use lukewarm water, a drop of pH-neutral soap, and a very soft brush. Rinse thoroughly, pat dry, then air-dry to prevent trapped moisture near settings. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners for pavé or antique mounts, schedule annual atelier inspections for prongs, bezels, hinges, and clasps.

Keep jewels away from chlorinated pools, hot tubs, harsh chemicals, perfume, hairspray, and extreme heat; apply cosmetics before you adorn. During sport, gardening, or weight training, remove rings and bracelets to protect tolerances.

For white gold, re-rhodium as needed; for satin finishes, request controlled refinishing, never aggressive polishing.

Finally, wear them. A masterpiece learns its collector. Ritual care does not dim radiance—it teaches light exactly where to live.
